Easter Morning

Lilly loves Easter morning because the Easter Bunny always hides eggs for her to find when she wakes up. The babies got yummy baby snacks in their baskets. Then, after a nice breakfast, I dressed them up in their cute Easter church clothes and we went to church. I told Lilly all about what Jesus did for us and how he was Resurrected, not really sure she was paying attention or understanding. But earlier this week she told me all about Jesus getting his body back and how she will too someday. I was very pleased.

Holidays with the Kids

We don't have any traditions for St. Patrick's day but I love dressing my kids up for holidays. Tristan looked like a leprechaun. I did decide to make Lilly some green vanilla milk and she loved it. We took Lilly to an Easter egg hunt with Planet 94.1 radio station. She had a lot of fun and saw the Easter Bunny.

New Couch

We recently bought a new couch and rug. Now it is like we have a new living room. The rug is so soft and the couch is comfy. We bought it to have more seating for our bigger family and our old couch had a hard metal frame, not safe for crazy kids. This couch and rug make our house feel more homey.

Weights and Best Decision

So, their doctor appointment went well. they are still growing good and healthy. Tristan is slowly gaining faster than Bella. Now he is 3 1/2 pounds bigger than her. Bella weighed in at 17 lbs 10 oz. But I think they measured her height wrong, because they only had her growing 1/4 inch in three months. I measured her myself and got 28 in. Tristan weighed in at 21 lbs and 29 1/2 in. A lot of times people at stores will ask how far apart they are. They don't think they are twins because he is bigger than her. And they can't believe she is older. This appointment, they didn't need shots, so that was nice.

These pictures show my latest accomplishment. A few months ago, I started to put them to bed awake so they could begin learning to fall asleep without me. I bought this music and lights toy and they have done way better than I ever expected. The first night I didn't have it and they cried for almost an hour with me going in to comfort them but not pick them up. The next night it only took them ten minutes and they have been doing great ever since. This was one of the smartest choices I have ever made since having them. It has made my life so much easier and less stressful. I am also a much happier mommy and have more time to get other things around the house done, because I am not just constantly rocking babies to sleep.

Nine Months

Bella and Tristan are now nine months old. They are all over the place and into everything. Tristan gets around by dragging himself around with one arm. He is pretty fast, too and keeps up with Bella, who crawls. She sits up better and pulls herself to stand up. Tristan is still content to not crawl because he does a few steps and then drops down because he wants to move faster. I have to keep alert because they both can self feed snacks and now they use that skill to put anything Lilly drops in their mouths. I watched Tristan throw up twice now from trying to swallow crazy things and hitting his gag reflex. We see the doctor on Monday, so I will update their sats next week. But I can guess that they are at the top of the charts for height. Clothes get too short for them really quickly. They are such a joy to raise and I am having a great time being a mommy to these sweet children.

I Love Spring!

This spring I decided to attempt to grow things. We got some big buckets and a few vegetable plants. I have always wanted to try gardening and I finally am doing it. I hope I can get some success. I already have a green pepper growing and some strawberries sprouting. It gives me some new joy to see them. Also, spring means picnics and I am going to do that as often as I can before we get our summer heat. We had a fun picnic this week and being outside is so calming to my babies and Lilly loves to run and play and make friends at the playgrounds.

My Girly Girl

Lilly loves to dress in crowns and tap-tap shoes. She is constantly putting on my dress shoes and clicking around the house. She loves to put on lip gloss and look fancy. And she is a hair clipppy queen, also. She love collecting new clips. And she is always watching herself in any reflection she sees and posing and "ballet" dancing.

My Artist

Lilly is my little artist. All on her own, she started drawing people with eyes and mouths and legs. Now she is advancing into adding hair and eyebrows and lashes and arms. she is teaching herself and that is so amazing to me. She is so proud to be an artist. She also is picking up letters quickly and also taught herself to write her name. She doesn't always get them in the right order but she always gets a big L two little L's and an i and y. I don't know how she learned it so well cause I only showed her once or twice and I spell it out loud but that's all. And she is not in pre-school, so she is doing great on her own. She love to learn and that makes me happy.

Six Month Twins

Bella & Tristan are 6 months old and life is busy and full of messes. They are eating lots of baby foods and loving most of them. But they drool alot and stick their hands in their mouths and pull on bib, so it gets everywhere! And feeding two can be a demanding job when they scream while you are feeding the other. But they are doing good and so am I. they are growing well and trying to push onto all fours. they end up scooching themselves backwards or rolling all over the room and we really need to keep an eye on them.
Bella weighs 16 lbs 1 oz = 47% and is 27 1/4 in. = 91%
Tristan weighs 19 lbs=73% and 28 3/4 in.= 97%
Our doctor says they look good and they are good babies. There are no concerns, they are just growing and learning alot.

Christmas Jammies and Winter Fun

We had a wonderful Christmas with our families. On Christmas Eve we had Clifford's family over for dinner and opened our jammies. Lilly was so happy it was finally Christmas and enjoyed all our time with family. In the morning, we opened Santa gifts and then made cinnamon rolls and bacon for breakfast. After that, we finished opening presents. Clifford's mom and dad stayed the night and so they were there to spend the morning with us. Then we spent the rest of the morning setting up new toys and putting kids down for naps. I made some pies and in the evening, we went to have dinner at my parent's house and one of my sister's and her family came and usual. we played a game with her kids and had a fun night. On our way home, we told Lilly that Christmas was over and she said it wasn't because it didn't snow. I need to find a movie where it isn't a white Christmas.
So, when it snowed, a week later, she woke up and said it was Christmas! and she wasn't convinced until she looked under the tree and saw there were no presents. But we had a couple of fun snow days and she made her first snow angel that she was so excited to do.
